- Introduction
- Jincheon National Training Center, located in Jincheon, Chungbuk region, is a training center for Korea's national team that has the symbolic meaning of "Leader of World Sports, the Center of Korean Sports shared with Nation", which is a slogan of Korea Sports Council. Jincheon National Training Center has been constructed as a comprehensive training center to lead a farsighted program of Korean sports, replacing Taehneung Athletic Village, which opened in 1966, and provides the best quality training environment and system that is excellent internationally. It boasts the largest scale in the world, and it has increased more than three times in size, system, and capacity compared to the Taehneung Athletic Village. Facilities are equipped for 35 events and 1,150 athletes. Jincheon National Training Center has been designed to reflect various symbols, memorabilia and artistic characteristics in order to inspire pride and sense of mission of the Republic of Korea. It has reduced energy and maintenance costs by introducing a low-cost maintenance system that combines comfor and durability. In addition, low energy efficiency is implemented through environmentally friendly design technique and the world's best smart system is provided through management system that applies sports science and cutting-edge IT based system. It also has a 24-hour intelligent integrated safety system for performance improvement and user convenience. In the future, Jincheon National Training Center is expected to play a pivotal role not only in improving the performance, but also in enhancing the pride of the people by providing cutting-edge training environment and system to athletes in all sports events.
