Design
- Introduction
- Heerim, based on its world-class airport design technology and expertise, has been selected as the final winner with the highest evaluation and resonance from the architectural design evaluation committee, professional associations, and the Vietnamese public’s assessment, by actively incorporating Vietnam’s cultural characteristics into the design. Following this, Subsequently, the technical design was successfully completed in 2018, and the engineering design in 2022. Furthermore, in 2023, Heerim has awarded a contract for construction supervision services to perform supervision tasks in line with the project commencement. This progress demonstrates Heerim’s distinctive strength in providing “DCM (Design Construction Management) services,” where design and CM are conducted simultaneously, which has proven effective in overseas national projects. The design of Vietnam Long Thanh International Airport Passenger Terminal is inspired by a beautiful lotus shape, symbolizing the elegance, strength, and warm culture of Vietnamese. This terminal design boasts a high level of completion in both aesthetic and functional aspects. The lotus-shaped ceiling evokes the design concept, while the interior design reflects the warm hospitality and farewell culture of the Vietnamese people. Leveraging the world’s best technology and airport design knowledge, Heerim has seamlessly integrated Vietnamese cultural elements into this flawless passenger terminal. The first phase of the Vietnam Long Thanh International Airport Passenger Terminal project in Vietnam aims to accommodate 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo by 2026 through the development of runways, terminals, amenity facilities, and surrounding areas. This new airport will serve as Vietnam’s new gateway and become a global hub airport.
