Introduction: "Saint Johnsbury Academy Jeju" (hereinafter SJA Jeju), which is located in Jeju English Education City development area was opened in October 2017. Heerim chose the characteristics of Jeju that describe Jeju Island such as waves of Jeju sea, oreum (Jeju mountain) and rocks for the design motif of SJA Jeju. It was designed as an educational community facility where education, life and play are harmonized together. SJA Jeju is an educational facility that can accommodate about 1,200 elementary, middle and high school students. It has all the necessary facilities for education such as gymnasium, auditorium, kindergarten, dormitory, cafeteria and others. SJA Jeju provides differentiated education programs in campus based on SJA's educational ideology - humanity, inquiring mind and community consciousness. Especially, inquiry-based learning that enables students questioning themselves is the core value of SJA Jeju education. Inquiry-centered education, which encourages students to self-research and find answers on their own rather than a one-way lecture type class, is becoming a center of all education curriculum. In the future, SJA Jeju will be a new landmark element of Jeju English Education City through differentiating and become the best education facility through differentiating its form, function and education system from existing international schools in Jeju.
