Heerim has won the competition in 2012 and conducted Design Development and Construction Documents phases until 2013. Embassy of the Republic of Korea embodies traditional ceramics and "yeonjeok" (traditional water plate for inkstone), with interior space designed by applying traditional architecture of courtyard to atrium for government office building and inner garden of official residence. Furthermore, natural roof line with a motif of Cheoma (eaves) in traditional architecture gives a design differentiation. In the future, this place is expected to play a role of bridgehead and gateway between two countries.
