Design
- Introduction
- The Sejong City Hall and City Council Building project, selected as the winning design during the concept design competition, represents a new paradigm for city hall architecture and effectively captures the characteristics of a growing city into its design. The chosen site, situated at the intersection of the axis of the Geum River, the Bihaksan Mountain, and the Wonsusan Mountain, allowed for the interpretation of the relationships between these elements, which were then translated into architectural forms. Furthermore, a square located to the south of the site was designed for integration, creating an open space where citizens can gather—a welcoming environment that embodies unity and openness.
