Design
- Introduction
- In August 2019, following a resident vote conducted by the Yongsan Jungbi-chang 1BL Redevelopment Committee, Heerim’ design proposal was selected as the final winning design. The proposal featured buildings encompassing underground levels (up to 5 floors) and soaring up to 35 floors above ground, accommodating apartments, officetels, office spaces, and retail facilities, with an applied floor area ratio of approximately 500%. To create a landmark along the Han River, the design suggested 100% Han River view terraces for all cooperative members, and the entire complex was planned as a state-of-the-art smart city. The project incorporated the latest trends and issues, such as fine dust notification services, smart control systems utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT), solar-powered pavement blocks, eco-friendly materials, and solar geothermal systems, ensuring a clean and safe living environment. Additionally, the project focused on distinctive elements like sky communities and roof design, securing symbolic significance and introducing innovative facade patterns to create a sophisticated urban landscape. The terrace residences, in particular, showcased a unique and appealing apartment design rarely seen in domestic projects, promising a future of creativity, unique aesthetics, and charm. Furthermore, the lower levels were designed with a three-dimensional mixed-use concept, connecting the Yongsan Link and above-ground retail spaces to enhance the horizontal landscape. The strategic enhancement of community facilities, abundant green spaces, and leisure areas, along with interconnected pathways among the buildings, aimed to establish an organic circulation route on the lower levels, shaping the development into the premier luxury destination along the Han River.
