Introduction: The main purpose of IBC (International Broadcast Center) construction is in providing an ideal and high-quality broadcasting services within environment-friendly settings for the successful hosting of PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic. To accentuate the large façade of this massive volume, the design of IBC was inspired by the motifs of trees in a forest in harmony with the surrounding mountainous region, where the dynamic change of elevation patterns are tailored to the function of each floor. An overlay is all temporary facilities installed to serve and support the event, including snow venue sites in Pyeongchang-gun and Jungsun-gun in Gangwon, ice rink in Gangneung and other games-related facilities.
