- Introduction
- The Padong Gangchon 2 Reconstruction Project was initially approved in May 2007. Despite high expectations for smooth progress, the project was put on hold due to a sudden downturn in the real estate market. A decade later, amidst a renewed boom in the real estate market, a new executive committee was formed in 2016, and the project regained momentum. The committee's first action was to terminate the contract with the existing design firm and select Heerim as the new designer through a competitive bidding process. Daewoo E&C and POSCO E&C were chosen as the construction companies. This decision aimed to elevate the value of Padong, a district located in Suseong-gu but not fully benefiting from its premium status. By selecting top-tier design and construction firms in Korea, the goal was to create a premium complex that would stand out among others in Suseong-gu. The project progressed rapidly, and in August 2017, it passed the architectural review with a new plan (1,300 units) that satisfied the committee members. The project received approval for changes in business implementation in May 2018, followed by approval for disposition of assets in March 2019. Finally, in February 2021, the model house for the Padong Gangchon 2 Reconstruction Project, "Suseong The Palace Prugio The Sharp," opened and began accepting subscriptions. The project successfully concluded its first round of general subscription applications with an average competition rate of 34:1, and construction commenced in April. After obtaining partial completion approval on October 30, 2023, residents were able to move in 7 years after the selection of Heerim. Suseong The Palace Prugio The Sharp is a complex that offers outstanding views, with Beobisan Mountain to the east, Apsan Mountain to the west, and the Sincheon Stream nearby. In addition, Padong Elementary School and Suseong Middle School are located within a 500m radius, making it one of the most desirable apartment complexes in terms of location, views, school district, and overall living environment.
