Siheung City is promoting the Smart City Project, a futuristic city that applies intelligent information technology to the cities we live in, solves urban problems, and promotes the convenience of citizens.


The "Smart child care center Model Development and Demonstration" project, which is part of a project supported by KAIA (Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement), is a task carried out from October 2019 to December 2022 and was drafted to discover infants' talents and foster creative talent suitable for future society.


Smart child care house will provide an infant-oriented and play-oriented childcare environment supported by smart technology under the motto of "Keep faith and leave it to children," "The most fun daycare center in the world" and "Happy daycare with infants.“ The design vision of child care house provides a flexible play environment in organic space as the origin of life (Egg). Its features include a nature-friendly smart child care house that helps infants improve their creativity, develop emotions, and learn, and a healthy daycare center that takes into account the growth and safety of child house where nature, people, relationships, communication and diversity coexist.



AI and IoT-based smart technologies : 

Fostering creative talent suitable for future society in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution 


The first key goal of child care house is to provide customized education services based on AI and IoT to discover talents for infants and foster creative talent suitable for future society. In order to maximize the scalability of new talents in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, customized education is needed to suit the characteristics of each child. Based on intelligent CCTV, tracking technology for the same person, and facial recognition technology, it can collect data on children's characteristics and create a customized childcare environment centered on children and play, which can greatly help prevent safety accidents. 


The second is to provide a healthy and pleasant environment by using IoT-based smart devices to block fine dust and airborne bacteria and pre-check health abnormalities. Air purifiers and automatic thermal imaging cameras that block fine dust and airborne bacteria prevent infection risks in advance and predict health abnormalities. In addition, it is possible to create a pleasant indoor environment by smartly adjusting air conditioning, ventilation, and lighting. 


Finally, smart record wall and smart observation note can support the reduction of teachers' work. This will improve the work satisfaction of child care house teachers and provide them with time and psychological leeway to provide a more focused environment for children. The interaction between child care house teachers and children is a key factor in improving the quality of child care.
