- Introduction
- The Netmarble Puruni Daycare Center has been established with the aim of providing company benefits for Netmarble employees. In 2020, Heerim completed the construction of the G Tower, the headquarters of Netmarble Company, as part of the urban structure improvement project utilizing Seoul Guro Water Treatment Plant site. Subsequently, with the goal of improving welfare environments, a daycare center was planned adjacent to the headquarters. The site is located amidst narrow and small houses and aging environment, making it difficult to highlight the building. Therefore, the design focus was placed on expressing a friendly image for children. To fit the small-scale surrounding context, the lengthy mass was segmented into three sections and the natural topography was utilized to elevate the building, creating a sense of rise, and evoking the image of a "Tree House" like a cabin in the woods. This aims to stimulate children's emotional satisfaction and imagination with vibrant colors symbolizing the unique characters of the gaming company, and to create a fun and rich indoor environment with various windows allowing natural light to enter. Particularly, considering the safety of the children, outdoor play areas are placed on the rooftop, designed as a camping-themed space where children can play with nature. Netmarble Puruni Daycare Center, opened in 2024, not only provides welfare environments where employees can alleviate childcare burdens and work safely but also aims to become a benchmark for new childcare facilities in aging areas, initiating the improvement of the area's image.
