Design
Introduction
In February 2016, Heerim formed a consortium with Daewoo E&C and has won "Provincial government building of Gyeongsangbuk-do", which moved from New Town Ijeon Gyeongbuk Provincial Government building. This government building was designed to show Korean elegance, which spans the culture and tradition of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. Consists in total of 4 blocks with headquarter building, parliament office building, resident community welfare center 1, resident community welfare center 2 and it is in total scale of 7F/B2F building. The project's main consideration was the question on how to materialize traditional style into a concrete building. As the result, roof curve, eaves angle, the ridge of a roof, the proportion of traditional roof structure were carefully applied to maintain traditional proportion and its beauty with visual comfort. Currently, a new office building of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province boasts its grandeur as the landmark of the region, and numbers of tourists visit the town after the opening ceremony to see the architecture with Korean beauty and flavor. This has effected the increase of tourism demands of Andong Hahwe village located nearby and contributes a lot to local economy vitalization.
