- Introduction
- The most important goal to design Exchange Center for South and North Korean Youth was to symbolically express the desire for reunification. The site closely located to DMZ is adjacent to ‘Hapsumori’, where two rivers meet and the shape of these two rivers was reflected for an arrangement of the site. The design of the roof and an arrangement of the form, which symbolizes an unification was the most important element to design the building arrangment in a relationship between surrounding mountains and roads, that exterior and a shape of roof were extra carefully designed with a desire for an unification. The design of exterior facilities and space arrangements for this project were designed with scrupulous care to be an eco-friendly building. An accommodation for employees are designed for dormitory for single people and family village was organized into two types, for general and VIP customers, to increase convinience for visitors of the Exchange Center for South and North Korean Youth.
