Located at the edge of Sejong Lake Park in Sejong City, the Presidential Archives is in a unique form of cubic shape.
The purpose of the Presidential Archives is to collect the presidential records with great historical value of the Republic of Korea where it can show 'Yesterday, Today and Future' of Korea and to open up new vistas of Korea 's policy and history research.
Reflecting its position and function, the Presidential Archives was inspired by the box which holds the great seal used by presidents when signing official administrative and diplomatic documents and the two main materials of the box, brass and wood were reinterpreted respectively into stone and glass that encompasses history and the present.
In addition, the museum is equipped with high-quality cultural services such as exhibitions and education using presidential records and documents together with the energetic urban culture space to the citizen.
