Design

Introduction: COEX Mall is the largest underground shopping mall in Asia. Total facility area of COEX is 14.5 times larger than Seoul’s main Olympic stadium. This underground space was formed with a strong design concept, a first in Korea. The main design concept was the “flow of a river”. Visitors could feel the sequential atmosphere in accordance to the special organization: mountaintop, forest, vortex, canyon, rain forest, and the ocean which are the incorporating source of the river.
