Incheon 2014 Asian Games Main Stadium
Design
- Introduction
- Incheon 2014 Asian Games Main Stadium symbolized the dynamic movement of Incheon's sea waves, which blend harmoniously with the wind. Especially, it embodied the graceful curves of traditional Korean dance, representing both static and dynamic elements. The main stadium embraced an environmentally friendly design, emphasizing harmony with nature throughout the venue. Moreover, the flow of Simgok stream on south and Gongchon stream on north are connected to form an ecological waterway (Eco Canal) that encompasses the main stadium and the auxiliary stadium, while creating a north-south plaza and green band. This project was co-designed with Populous.
