This project started in since 1995 to establish a global scale convention center for the ASEM meeting in 2000, as well as, to accommodate international conferences and exhibitions. Support facilities include business, sales, entertainment, and accommodation services, which have been planned in conjunction with the Convention Center, the main facility in the existing Korea Trade Center (exhibition center and a trade hall building) founded in 1988. Heerim has carried out DD and CD phase of the COEX center, the exhibition & convention center, and the COEX mall, the underground shopping mall.
