Introduction
The Jeonbuk International Financial Center (JIFC) is part of the Jeonbuk Financial Town in the Jeonju and Wanju Innovation City. The site holds strong locational potential to generate synergy with neighboring public and business institutions such as the National Pension Service and LX, and it also enjoys a waterfront setting with views of Gijije Reservoir and Jochoncheon Stream. Six organizations, including Jeonbuk State, Jeonju City, Orion Capital Management, KB Securities, Heerim, and Truston Asset Management, signed an MOU to develop the Jeonbuk Financial Town, with plans to create a convergent financial hub in which prime offices, soho offices, a hotel, and international conference facilities are organically integrated within a single complex. Functionally, the complex is organized into three specialized zones. The SUMMIT ZONE is centered on international conference facilities. The INSPIRE ZONE, comprising prime and soho offices, supports solid business demand and youth entrepreneurship. The STAY ZONE, a hotel, serves the business accommodation demand of the Innovation City. In terms of design, the tradition and nature of Jeonju are reinterpreted in a contemporary language to create a landmark that illuminates the future of the region. The symbolic 'Iconic Sky Lounge' stands as the new center of the Jeonbuk International Financial Town, the 'Grand Canopy' reinterprets the traditional Korean eaves to strengthen the public character of the complex, and the 'Green Community', drawing on local natural elements, completes a nature-friendly space for exchange. As a new center of the regional financial industry, the JIFC will foster an ecosystem where young talent and innovative companies gather, providing a foundation for Jeonbuk to grow into a financial and business hub representing the southwestern region of Korea. Through this plan, it is expected to emerge as a next-generation financial hub driving the future value of Jeonbuk.
