- Introduction
-
Narakium Busan ON-TOWER is a mixed-use development project that revitalizes the deteriorated site of the former Nambu Police Station in downtown Nam-gu, Busan. It combines office facilities, public rental housing, and neighborhood living facilities. The site, former location of the Busan Nambu Police Station, sits at the intersection of education, nature, and transportation, and holds symbolic value as a gateway to growth for the coastal city of Busan. This project will contribute to enhancing urban vitality through regeneration and environmental improvements. Thanks to its proximity to a university district, it is expected to meet the housing needs of young people and provide a stable living environment. By transforming underutilized urban space into a mixed-use development, the project aims to create an eco-friendly integrated community that offers opportunities for growth to everyone. The building consists of two basement levels and twelve floors above ground, comprising a 12-story tower and a 3-story annex. The two basement floors will be used for parking, and the first and second above-ground floors will accommodate commercial facilities. Office spaces will occupy the 3rd to 6th floors, with KAMCO’s Busan Regional Headquarters on the 3rd floor and the Nam-gu Election Commission on the 6th. Eighty units of youth rental housing will be provided on the 8th to 12th floors. The Korea Asset Management Corporation plans to offer rents lower than the surrounding market price using the operating income.
