- Introduction
- The mino Yangyang Modular Resort Villa represents a pioneering approach to modular architecture, prioritizing sustainability and reduced environmental impact. Driven by the principles of “Modular Innovation,” it aims to revolutionize the building industry and expand the modular architecture market. Given the rising demand for resort accommodations and growing concerns about environmental impact on nature, the construction of this villa using a modular system is particularly significant. The villa employs a modular system that minimizes environmental damage through factory production and shortened construction timelines. The mino Modular Resort Villa introduces a space module system tailored to individual resort villas, featuring optimized modules bedrooms, LDK (Living-Dining-Kitchen), and connection modules. By varying the combinations of these modules, a wide range of villa designs are achievable. Overcoming the limitations of conventional modules, the project achieves unprecedented spatial innovation through ultra-thin exterior panels, curtainwall glazing, and the combination of modules with varying ceiling heights. To contribute to carbon neutrality, the villa incorporates key materials such as carbon-absorbing weatherboard cladding and fiber panels made from recycled materials. A BAPV (Building-Applied Photovoltaics) system installed on the sloped roof generates 40% of the villa’s energy usage, while smart technology automates lighting, curtains, and climate control to reduce energy consumption. Additionally, the flat roof is built with a low-maintenance, waterless sedum green roof, establishing an ecological environment. As a public accommodation facility, the mino Yangyang Modular Resort Villa offers a unique opportunity for people to experience innovative modular spaces. The mino maximizes the efficiency and economic benefits of modular construction while delivering a comfortable and expansive indoor environment. Also, it provides a spatial experience comparable to traditional architecture, ensuring comfort and richness. The villa’s user experience extends beyond interior spaces. Designed as an emotional retreat from daily life, the project incorporates decks, porches, minimalist gardens inspired by nature, and abundant vegetation that envelops the site. These features were carefully designed to create spaces for gathering, rest, and healing. Through mino, users can have a truly immersive experience in nature. For developers, choosing mino’s high-quality modular system enhances their value as key participants in a sustainable circular economy, shortens construction schedules for significant economic benefits, and creates architecturally appealing facilities that attract customers. The mino Yangyang Modular Resort Vila simultaneously pursues economic efficiency and environmental responsibility, presenting new possibilities for the future of architecture. After its completion and operation as a accommodation facility, the mino Yangyang Modular Resort Villa will continue to integrate user feedback and refine its technical elements. With this foundation, mino aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the modular industry domestically and internationally, positioning itself as a leader in the future modular market.
