- Introduction
- The research center, a facility attached to the National Cancer Center, was planned as a world-class cancer research institute with superior research capabilities through the design of state-of-the-art research facilities, such as the animal testing laboratory. In particular, it was important to overcome various limitations in terms of structure, arrangement, and legal issues, because the construction of the new research center building was conducted with part of its basement and ground levels already having been completed. To create the nation’s best research center, other facilities such as the isotope room, the high-pressure autoclave room, the animal facility, and the treatment room, as well as the existing research facilities, were installed.
