Introduction
The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) of Ghana is a national project of the Ghana government, funded by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Export-Import Bank which began as part of the Ghana government's long-term development plan under the name of “Vision for Long-term National Plan 2018-2057”. Heerim by forming a consortium with Yonsei University focused on realizing a sustainable campus consisting of regional characteristics of tropical climate and cultural symbolism of Ghana and presented PRIME (People, Relation, Innovation, Money, Environment) containing five values necessary for the establishment of the university, including the university curriculum, operation, and facilities. Additionally, under the concept of "INTERACTIVE SPIRIT", Heerim implemented a learning- life community focused university where education and life are united composed of INCUBATING VILLAGE (Administration building, library, auditorium), LEARING VILLAGE (Education building, ancillary facilities), LIVING VILLAGE (Vice president's residence, professors and staff accommodation, student dormitory). With total architectural solution DCM service, a know-how accumulated over 50 years, the project schedule and quality will meet the requirements of the Ghana government. The UESD, which starts with two colleges: the engineering and agricultural colleges, emphasis on ensuring the scalability to respond to future changes along with future developments and creating sustainable eco-friendly complexes through green elevations, mass and landscape planning. The new campus will be the gateway to a new era in Ghana's future educational environment.
