Introduction
Located in front of KTX Gwangmyeong Station, a key transportation hub in the southwest of the Seoul metropolitan area, Gwangmyeong U Planet is a large-scale mixed-use complex featuring retail, office spaces, broadcasting, telecommunications, and accommodation facilities. Embracing the concept of connecting people, spaces, and cultures, it has been developed into a media art integrated cultural complex, with various facilities and contents. The U Planet Tower, serving as an office space, boasts a 22-story multipurpose hall, making it the prime office space in the Gwangmyeong Station area. T Tower, a 23-story office space, is designed as a new concept sectional office with flexible configurations on each floor according to area, providing versatile usage options. Facing KTX Gwangmyeong Station, a large-scale retail facility, AK Plaza, is positioned, and Urban Bricks, a street mall, is planned between residential areas to consider linkage with surrounding commercial areas. Using diverse Brick façade designs to create a friendly atmosphere and implementing traditional and modern harmony with Steel and Media Walls. The Digital Contents Studio, a media creation facility, is equipped with state-of-the-art K-content production capabilities, including spaces for creators' education, content production, performances, and experiences. It is expected to cater to diverse experiences for both business demand and general users in the future. The accommodation facility, named "Take Hotel," is themed around expressing oneself through media, making it the first media-specialized hotel in Korea. It will operate with various amenity facilities, programs, and unique guest rooms. U Planet, newly born in the city of light, Gwangmyeong, is expected to inject creative inspiration into daily life with its diverse mixed facilities and contents, making life more joyful and abundant. As a future-oriented media art complex, it is anticipated to become a new landmark for Gwangmyeong City.
