Heerim won the design competition of Seoul Nonhyeon-dong Post Office in December 2014 followed by construction documentation work for 6 months, 31 months of construction period and the project was completed in June 2018. Seoul Nonheyon-dong Post Office is located at Exit 2 of Hakdong underground station line 7 with the total site area of 2,633㎡, 9F/B3 floors and G.F.A of 7,733㎡. It is a mixed-use complex building with the post office on B1, retail facilities on B2-B1 and 128 units of office-tel on 3F-8F.
This project proposed the alternative of post office that has publicity, profitability, and functionality with a concept of "a generous tree" that contributes to the public through profitable business, as if small seeds grow up and become a big tree and share fruit, fresh air, shade and landscape. By using the elevation difference of the land, the public service center of post office is placed on the basement level to maximize accessibility, awareness and user's efficiency. Retail facilities and office-tel are planned on the above ground levels to build the post office optimized for rental income.
