- Introduction
- In 2008, The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan embarked on an ambitious international design competition, selecting CHBL from Austria for the architectural design, with project management undertaken by AECOM from the United States and construction by BASIX from Belgium. Initially slated for groundbreaking in 2015, the project faced delays due to the financial crisis that year. In 2018, the building's scale was refined, and CHBL undertook a redesign. In November of the same year, Heerim CM, leveraging their successful track record with projects like SOCAR Tower and Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan, clinched a significant contract with The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Their expertise in project management not only streamlined the design process but also led to a remarkable 10% reduction in the projected construction costs. From August 2019 onwards, Heerim CM diligently supported the Central Bank by facilitating international competitive bidding and meticulous pre-selection processes.
