- Introduction
- Infectious Disease Hospital is the first and only specialized infectious disease facility in Vietnam dedicated to responding to rapidly emerging novel infectious diseases. It normally operates with 145 beds, but under crisis situations, it can expand to a maximum capacity of 250 beds. In addition, it is equipped with an emergency department with triage capabilities, intensive care units and general wards. These facilities include outpatient clinics, a vaccine center, an imaging department, negative pressure operating rooms, a diagnostic pathology department with BSL2 grading, and negative pressure isolation rooms. Designed by Heerim, the hospital harmonizes with the design vocabulary of the entire hospital complex, bringing light and nature inside to create a healing environment reminiscent of the nature. Furthermore, the negative pressure zone and general zone are strictly separated to establish safe infection control system.
