- Introduction
- Gwangan KCC Switzen Harbor View located at Gwangan Beach in Suyeong, Busan is a newly planned landmark of Gwangalli Beach that furnishes the ocean view for all residents. It is a complex apartment consisting of 294 units of Urban type housing, 64 Studio apartment units, and neighborhood service facility at ground to first floor. The urban landscape balanced and coordinated the stance of people in the metropolis and residents around who recognize the site, was directed through the skyline plan considering the neighboring environment, formation of the view and vista connecting mountain and sea through gate type design considering openness at the back area of planned site, public open space and shopping district in connection with the existing horizontal axis leading to the downtown area and terrace-type shopping mall plan. The application of a protruding eaves design based on the figure of Gwangan Bridge and waves furnishes a unique elevation contour that transforms depending on the pedestrian's point of view, providing a landscape that becomes a landmark of Gwangalli. Expectedly, it will remain as a representative work that maximizes residential comfort and convenience by providing the unrivalled view of the sea observable from all units, auxiliary facilities, housing units, amenity facilities, and observation deck through an effective layout plan.
