Introduction: Through modernization of aged facilities of Suwon Agricultural and Fishery Wholesale Market, the aim of this project was to revitalize the marketplace with a new paradigm in agricultural and fishery product distribution system while also allowing it to function as an educational, tourism, and rest area ultimately leading to the recomposition of the district's landmark. H·U·B MARKET seeks for sustainable low-carbon, green growth and is expected to act as the 'HUB' in a more advanced distribution environment moving on to the Fourth Industrial Revolution by applying passive design (optimization of insulation and ventilation systems, automation of distribution systems), maximized recycling(wastewater recycling, odor removal system) and renewable energy Building Integrated Photovoltaic System, geothermal). Heerim Consortium (CM) is processing from basic design to construction management through a total of 3 construction phases. Currently, buildings for fruits and marine products are operating while the 3rd phase construction on buildings for vegetable and direct sale is being conducted aiming for approval as a whole by May 2022.
