- Introduction
- Located on the opposite side of Seokchon Lake in Jamsil Lotte World, the main façade of these residential towers was designed to be the north nearby Seokchon Lake. By separating the masses, the sense of openness was secured and the colors that naturally blend with the landscape around Seokchon Lake were used as the exterior finishes. The site is located adjacent to Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, Shopping facilities of Lotte World Tower as well as government office such as Songpa-gu Office where the residence can easily use various convenience facilities. Even, there are three roads (20m, 10m, and 6m) surrounding the site. As the entrance and exit road of the parking lot are separated, the user’s convenience is maximized, and the number of parking lots is increased by 30% compared to the legal requirement. Moreover, we have separated entrance between the neighborhood facilities and residential areas as well as the user circulation for each facility. Small rest areas were designed on the roof of the masses which was planned to be at different heights, so that the lake can be seen from the outside. Through the public open space located between the towers, pedestrian can naturally access the site and furthermore solar energy, rainwater recycling facilities, and energy saving facilities was introduced as eco-friendly architectural plans. By securing 3.9m of story height and 3.6m of ceiling height, three-dimensional spatial perception is given to each house unit. In addition, with separated the bedroom and living room through duplex structure, we have tried to overcome the limitations of small-scale residential buildings that have a mixed space of eating and sleeping.
