Located in B3, B6, and B7 blocks of low-rise residential buildings in Samsong District, Goyang, "Woomi-lafino" is a four-story/two-basement row housing complex.
The complex is surrounded by Ogeumcheon Stream which is located to the south, and Bukhansan Mountain that can be seen around. The entire complex is recognizable as a landscape itself by connecting whole nature in all directions, and the landscape space was planned as if greenery continued along the axis of the upper and lower blocks. In the center of the three complexes, community center was built to communicate with neighbors and coexist nature. Existing row houses were common to use one floor per unit, but Woomi-lafino planned a specialized unit in stacking two floors. Each unit has a terrace space so that people can feel the nature even inside of the flat and the noise control between floors is considered by vertically separating the static and dynamic spaces by placing the entrances of each unit on the first and fourth floors. Plus, the lower-rise units provide a spare room using the yard and underground PIT, and the upper-floors have an attic and a terrace, which are designed as specialized and unitized flats that can be used in various ways according to individual lifestyles. In order to strengthen the problem of ground parking lot, which incurred at existing detached and row houses, underground parking lot is built fully and lifts for each core are planned to enjoy the same convenience as apartments and bring comfort of outdoor spaces as well. Woomi-lafino is in the spotlight as a new type of housing with the independence of detached houses and the convenience of apartments, away from high-rise urban dwellings.
