Introduction
Shilla Monogram Gangneung began as part of the Winter Olympics special development zone. In Gangneung, a 4km stretch of coastal pine forest runs from Gangmun Beach to Songjeong Beach. Known as Songrim, this area has been designated by the Korea Forest Service as one of the Top 100 Premium Forests in Korea. The site is located adjacent to both the East Sea and Songrim, making it an ideal location for a resort hotel. Taking advantage of the views, all guestrooms are ocean-viewed with single-loaded corridors. This resort includes two residential towers, eight individual villas, neighborhood living facility, and one tourist accommodation. Residential towers have separate spa building and outdoor pool with pool bar on the 1F. Tourist accommodation tower includes a rooftop outdoor pool connected to the 3F indoor pool, forming a resort-style. Pools can be found at 1F of residential tower and villas. The site is a long, rectangular shape. To maximize ocean views, guestrooms are layout close to the beachfront, while along the roadside, low-rise neighborhood living facilities, a drop-off zone, and landscaped areas have been arranged to create a welcoming, resort-like entrance that blends naturally with the surroundings. Shilla Monogram is a five-star brand by Hotel Shilla. Following its first opening in Da Nang, Vietnam, Gangneung marks its second global location and the first in Korea. The brand embodies Hotel Shilla’s heritage while harmonizing with the local environment, offering guests the ultimate relaxation experience.
