G-Tower (Netmarble HQ)

DCM
Introduction
The site was previously operated as a water purification plant that supplied industrial water to the Guro Industrial Complex (G-Valley, Seoul Digital National Industrial Complex) until 2005. To meet the changing needs of the industrial complex, a structural improvement project was proceeded by the public announcement of a private business proposal. G-Tower created a space for communication between regions that had been cut off due to the water purification plant site by planning pedestrian passages in and out of the building. Maximized accessibility and open spaces created a rich green space to provide resting and cultural space for the residents. Besides, to activate the local community and create synergy with surrounding areas, the building included public and retail facilities that were not prepared in the industrial complex, including a convention center, a sports center, and a game museum.
