- Introduction
- Gwangmyeong U Planet is a media art mixed-used cultural complex developed within the concept of connecting people, space and culture. It is a large-scale complex consisting of retail, office, broadcasting, and hospitality facilities located in front of KTX Gwangmyeong Station, a transportation hub in the southwestern part of the Seoul metropolitan area. U Planet Tower is a 22-stories top quality prime office building in the Gwangmyeong Station area, equipped with a multi-purpose hall; while T Tower is a 23-stories building that consists a section office, a new concept of office that can utilize the area flexibly. Moreover, a large shopping facility, AK Plaza is located in front of KTX Gwangmyeong Station, meanwhile, a street mall named Urban Bricks was planned between the residential blocks considering the connection with the surrounding commercial districts. Especially, the various brick patterns in the façade design brings out a friendly vibe while combination of steel material and media walls embodies the harmony of tradition and modernity. The digital content studio, a media creation facility, is a cutting-edge K-contents production base equipped with facilities to educate creators and provides studios for contents production, performances, and one-day classes. It will support the business demands of creators as well as provides various experiences to general users. Take Hotel, Korea’s first media-specialized hotel under the slogan of revealing and expressing oneself through media will be operated with various amenity facilities, programs, and specialized rooms. The U Planet will become a new landmark of Gwangmyeong, the City of Light, as a future media art complex by inspiring imaginative ingenuity into everyday life with various complex facilities and contents which will enrich and improve our quality of life.
