Introduction
Sejong Urban Atrium The Central, benchmarked the case study of overseas advanced market and was implemented as a new concept of traditional market that is out of simple commercial and mixed-use complex buildings. In order to create a landmark architecture that will lead the revitalization of the central commercial district, Heerim planned the commercial, cultural and office facilities which are centered around the cultural building serving as an object and new concept of traditional market. Sejong Urban Atrium The Central is designed under the concept of 'cultural and commercial mixed-use facility' that combines the publicity of the city with the human-oriented cultural and commercial spaces. A human scale urban promenade (public walkway) is designed to connect five blocks and urban public factor was emphasized through the integrated grand canopy and various street malls in each space. Sejong Urban Atrium The Central has parking & MEP space on B1F-B3F, cultural/assembly/retail facilities from 1F-6F, office spaces from 7F-11F and observatory on 12F. A new landmark of Sejong city is created by configuring functional and reasonable spaces that can embody culture, human and stories.
